YOU GUYS SOUND LIKE YOU ARE RAW AS HELL, WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU ACTUALLY FROM BOLOGNA, ITALY POPULAR WITH SCENE BRUTAL DEATH METAL AND WHO IS CURRENTLY SITUATED IN THE LACERATER CAMP? Hi Harry! First of all thanx a lot for this opportunity and a big fucking hallo to all the people of LOST IN CHAOS!! We are really proud to be interviewed by you. Yep. We came from Bologna, a quite good town in Italy very famous for his history and his cultural opportunities. This is quite true also for music but extreme music still be really underground..good bands are growing up but a more organized structure is needed. I think this is a problem of all Italy: we have massive extreme bands with fresh ideas bands but everything is too much subterranean to catch up the masses. You have to work really hard if you want gig around or be knowed around in foreign countries! Anyway we are working in this way since 2002 and we are happy to do this. And, thanx this hard work, today we can see also some good responses from everywhere. Actually Lacerater are: Marco Lambertini (guitars), Riccardo Grechi (drums), Marco Zirondelli (bass guitar), Antonio Susca (vocals), Luca Samartino (guitars). 2-FIRST TIME, CONGRATULATION FOR NEW CD HAS BE RELEASED FOR NOW, AND HOW HAVE PEOPLE REACTED TO " NESSUN URLO NELL' OMBRA ", AND WHAT IS THE BAND DOING NOW? ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH GREAT JOB WITH INDEPENDENT LABEL, HOW DISTRIBUTED IN ITALY, EUROPE, AMERICA AND IN THE OTHER COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD, THAT IS SUFFERING BUDGET BUT ONLY FOR JUST DISTRIBUTED STUFF, WHY CHOOSEN SOME LABEL FOR DO THAT ?? Thanx man! We have worked hard on “Nessun Urlo Nell’Ombra” Ep! As said before, in Italy is quite difficult to be distribuited in a good and professional way, and it’s really hard to find a good label that belive in you and not (only) in his bank account. Of course not all labels are bad, I know some really good labels and distros in Italy but they are not so much. Anyway without a label and without an official distro we have worked on and on to be distribuited by ourself and thanx a lot of indipendet distros&labels that help us in many different ways. We have put a lot of energy on this our last work and we are really satisfied of how things has gone...we recived a lot of good reviews (we have collected more or less 100 reviews in one year), we have partecipated into a lot of compilations and we have played a lot of live in Italy and in some Europe countries! Thanx this hard work our Ep arrive everywhere in the word. Somewhere more, somewhere less. A lot od people bought it from distros or directly from us on line or during our shows..that it’s a really input for our efforts! 3- HOW COMPARE WITH OTHER FIRST RELEASE SINCE 2002 YEAR AGE IN THE UNDERGROUND WITH NEW CD "NESSUN URLO NELL' OMBRA ', THIS MAY SOME PROGRESSIVE ELEMENT MUSIC STYLE. MORE INTENSE AND BLASTED PART !! It’s really hard to compare those differnt works becouse they are really really different. First two demos are more classic brutal metal you know..probably more simple riffing and less intricated song structure. They are surely more primitive compared with the last Ep “Nessun Urlo nell’Ombra”. We have changed line up from that times: new drummer, new singer and a new guitar player. So it’s hard to find some common elements. In these day we are composing new songs for the next work. We play just a bit more articulated songs, a bit more tecnic and progressive riffs, faster blast beats and slower grooving parts, differnet vocals style and more impact sound I think. Anyway we try always to creating something catchy and not a lot of guitar riffs glued all toghether with no sense. 4-TELL ME, HOW RESPONSE FIRST TIME MOMENT " NESSUN URLO NELL' OMBRA " CD RELEASED? WHAT LACERATER KEEP SOME DOING ANY GIG PROMOTION FOR NOW? The first responses of “Nessun urlo nell’Ombra” are really good. We have had good responses from webzines, radios, magazines, labels that contact us for some compilation, and a lot of distros that colaborated with us for some distribuition. We have played a lot of gigs and live shows everywhere i Italy and we have also organized some little mini tour in Germany and France. We enjoyed a lot those days and moments couse we have found a lot of good bands, interesing people and good guys and friends! People in our show seem to enjoy and we like a lot when people give you resposes while you are playing..you know moshpit, headbanging and stuff like that ahaha. We think that playing gigs all around is a good way to promote the band in the same way we promote it in webzines, distros, radios and so on. 5-HOW ABOUT MINI TOURS ( EATEN ALIVE, LA TERRA DEL RIMORSO ) AND VARIOUS EVENTS LIKE IMMACOLATA CONCEZIONE ?? Yes, in the last year we tried to move something in the underground scene here in Bologna and in Italy. We have organized a lot of gigs and some festival like Eaten Alive and Immacolata Concezione. It’s really hard in Italy to do something like festivals or extreme music events..but, we have tryed! Today I can say I have made really good things! Something was good something was wrong. Often there are problems with local menagers couse they don’t give you the agreeded money and becouse they don’t work for the artistic promotion but for his rispective interests. Anyway is possible also to find some good places with good peole that promote music and not privated interests! But at the end I think that’s all went in the best way. Eaten Alive was a little intinerant fesitval with Olocausto Cannibal from Portugal and other fucking crazy bands and it sure that peolple enjoyd a lot destroing their body down the stage. Immacolata Concezione was a really big festival in Bologna where we call band from everywhere in Italy and from foreign countris (bands like Satan Revenge on Mindkind and Otargos) mixing different extreme music style..from black to porno gore! It was a quite big event in our city and a lot of people enjoyed in the best freaking way! La terra del Rimorso tour it’s another challenge for us..couse we tried to organize a tour in some zones of Italy where is not easy to play. Actually we are preparing an Eaten Alive 2009 with some big band names in the underground..stay tuned! 6- FOR A PROGRESSIVE BRUTAL DEATH METAL ALBUM , IT'S AS EXTREMELY ATTITUDE FOR SOME POTENTIAL MEMBERS. BUT YOU'RE IS KEEP KICKIN STYLE PERFORM JUST FOR THE BEST MUSIC EXTREME CREATION, WHAT ARE THE CONCEPTUAL TOPICS AND THEME(S) OF THE THIS ALBUM? I SEE TOO FOR SOME GORE AND DEATH THEME .... The lyrics are influenced by some of the darkest facts of our country!! You know Mafia and their horrible doings to our nation. O.S.S.A clearly talks about some of those facts, every line describes a terrible event. Talkin’ about Italian shit! W.H 22 for example is about a serial killer called The Florence Monster, which actually was a whole group of powerful people goin’ around slaying young couples in the night and doing horrible things with their bodies, like rituals or things like that. The real truth never came up, so it’s kinda dark shit. Nato Morto is about a man who never really lived, and he realizes it in his dying bed trying to tell is son not to live like him, who was Born Dead cause he didn’t achieve nothing in life. L’ Odore del Sangue talks about other Mafia happenings, curruption and killing of innocent people. We are not trying to be political or things like that, we just wanted to show that Italy is not so sunny and smiling as pictured in the depliants of tour agencies. 7- WHAT ABOUT LYRIC SONG " O.S.S.A. AND (L'ODORE DEL) SANGUE, SORRY I DON'T KNOW MORE ABOUT ITALIAN LANGUAGE ?? O.s.s.a is insipired by the various mass slaughters givin importance to the collective memory. The rotting flesh represents the passing of time and the bones instead defy Chronos and resist to the great hourglass. Sangue ( l’ odore del ) is inspired by two movies by Giuseppe Ferrara “ Il Sasso in Bocca “ and “ Placido Rizzotto “ by P.Scimeca. It’s about mafia and the harsh livin’ conditions of the places in which it operates . 8-HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO RECORD " NESSUN URLO NELL' OMBRA " IN THE STUDIO? WHAT EQUIPMENT ARE YOU GUYS USING? CAN YOU LIST SOME SPECIFIC DETAILS ABOUT WHAT YOU USE? STRING SIZES, PICK SIZE, PICKUPS, ETC... PLEASE :) We have recorded Nessun urlo nell’Ombra in 10 days more or less. But we have worked a lot before the studio so we could be more faster in recording session. About Nessun Urlo nell’Ombra we used Peavy 5150 amps, ibanez guitars, B tuning, passive pickups. .Personally I used 058-013 strings from ernieball. But we have changed those equipment and nowdays we use ENGL powerball amps and we are moving to active pickups and personally I’m going into Gibson or LTD..I don’t know yet 9-WHAT HAS INFLUENCED EACH MEMBER FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE POSITION? ARE YOU ALL KEEP DERIVE INSPIRATION FROM: SUFFOCATION, DYING FETUS, CANNIBAL CORPSE, AND DEVOURMENT TO NAME ONLY A FEW ?? Yes man these band give us insipartion of course!! We are great fans of Suffoation and Dying Fetus. But each member in the band listen different style! Riccardo is a fucking addicted fun of trollish metal and hardcore! Zirondelli is a funky style man and used to listen also power and AOR metal. Luca is a victim of rap and slam metal, Antonio is into grind gore, italian ’70 progressive and fetish industrial! And in the end I listen each extrem music that has groove inside and I like a lot also elctro music like IDM, hardcore, breakcore, triphop and so on 10- WHAT APPROACH DO YOU TAKE TO SONGWRITING AND WHO GETS INVOLVED? YOU GUYS SEEM TO INCORPORATE A PLETHORA OF GENRES AND INFLUENCES INTO EACH SONG! We start from some gitar riff that me and luca bring into the band. From those riff we start all toghether creating something new with a coll drum and bass line and at the end the vocals! I ear a lot of tecnicism but also a bit of groove that I think is really essential. Anyway the production should be better. >> DEVOURMENT - BUTCHER THE WEAK. I have not listen it yet >> CANNIBAL CORPSE – KILL – Good work..some cannibal riff clichè are changed in this album. I think they changed in a good way >> DYING FETUS - WAR OF ATTRITION - I have to be honest..I prefer old works.. 13- THANKS A TON, GUYS! LAST QUESTION, AND THIS ONE IS A DOOZY. WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS ON STEM CELL RESEARCH, HUMAN CLONING, AND THE "ORGANIC COMPUTERS" THAT ARE SURE TO RESULT FROM COMBINING "FLESH" WITH "TECHNOLOGY"? FLYING CARS ARE QUICKLY BECOMING A REALITY AS WELL, WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THEM? KEEP EXISTING FOR EXTREME METAL FLAMES FOREVER !! I like when tecnology meet human flesh. I’m interested in impiants and handicap tecnologies. I approve this kind of reserch but I have olso to say that I’m little scared when I ear some cerebral impiants or stuff like that where you don’t know exactly in wich way mental thought brain will change.
